-not everyone needs to use facewash or bodywash on a regular basis. if water is enough for you, it's enough.
-not everyone needs to use moisturizer all the time. if you don't get issues when you don't moisturize, you probably don't need to.
they are just trying to sell us things!!! some people do benefit from these things, but if a wet washcloth or whatever works to keep you clean and comfortable, it works! there's no inherent human need for bodywash and moisturizer and anyone who tries to tell you everyone needs a "basic skin care routine" involving multiple products is either trying to sell you something or has been indoctrinated by those people.
so stop being weirdos and shaming people for not needing the same skin care routine as you!!!
#sometimes I use soap on my body if I get really gross#but most of the time just water and some scrubbing takes care of it! I've noticed my pits get smellier the days following soap use#than when I just use water#which is usually enough for me to get rid of any bo/sweat/whatever#a d I use moisturizer bc I have dry skin but I feel like I frequently see people being like 'I had no issues before using moisturizer but#now it's breaking me out. so which one should I use instead#when the obvious answer is that person probably doesn't need a daily moisturizer!#we don't need to solve problems that don't exist!#also if someone has acne it is almost never bc they don't wash their face

pro winter type, wet your face/hands/arms/chest etc. before putting on moisturiser itll work better
#for once this isnt a bit this is actual advice#the Cream traps the moisture from the water and rehydrates your skin#also you can wash your face with plain water in the mornings so long as you arent using exfoliants or retinoids at night#bcuz those gotta get washed off. but if youre washing your face at night & using just moisturising products#you can skip a morning Scrub in winter.#im pale ofc i know skincare how do you think i survive when the sun actually comes out??#it can kill me in a breath i need to be prepared

Also... please don't wash your face with regular handsoap. You'll dry your skin out. Buy a dedicated facial wash.
#I have two things I use for my face. Facial wash daily and then afterwards I use moisturiser.#Every other day I also use the dreaded St Ives facial scrub.#Which... will not get stuck in your pores as long as you don't rub your face like you're trying to deglove it.#Use it gently like you are petting a kitten. Common sense surely.#And again. Don't use a facial scrub every single day.#It's an optional step though. Just buy a normal facial wash and don't worry about any kind of scrub thing.

Whenever I watch people's skincare routines I am hit With how like. We talk abt the beauty industry doing it but you really surely don't need a 10+ step skincare routine right?
